Art Gallery

Warsaw, Poland

This project is an art gallery located in the basement of a historic kamienica in Warsaw, Poland. The space had previously been altered in ways that hid its original beauty—arched ceilings and doorways were covered, and insensitive design choices disrupted the character of the interior.

The design goal was to restore and celebrate these historic features while creating a contemporary gallery space that serves as a neutral yet atmospheric backdrop for art. Most of the walls were kept simple to let the artworks take center stage, while lighting was carefully planned to highlight both the exhibits and the architectural shapes of the building.

A striking mirror ceiling introduces a bold “wow factor,” visually expanding the space and creating unexpected reflections that amplify the experience of art. Designed with budget in mind, the project demonstrates how thoughtful, creative design moves can transform a neglected interior into a space that feels both timeless and forward-looking.
